Jeremiah 6:30

"Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water:"

"And I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin:"

"Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the finer."

"But thou hast utterly rejected us; thou art very wroth against us. But...: or, For wilt thou utterly reject us?"

"Hast thou utterly rejected Judah? hath thy soul lothed Zion? why hast thou smitten us, and there is no healing for us? we looked for peace, and there is no good; and for the time of healing, and behold trouble!"

"I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin."
